What Is The Structure Of Ceramic Membrane?

From the perspective of microstructure, the inorganic ceramic membrane has two structures: "symmetric ceramic membrane" and "asymmetric ceramic membrane". Since asymmetric ceramic membrane has better mechanical strength and higher permeation flux, which has dominated industrial application. Industrially applied and widely promoted porous ceramic membrane is mainly composed of three layers: the supporting layer, transition layer, separation(membrane) layer.
